Indian young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, currently participating in the T20I series against Sri Lanka, has achieved the milestone of becoming the first batter to score 1000 international runs in 2024.
Jaiswal has accumulated 1017* runs in 18 matches so far, with his highest score being an unbeaten 214 runs. Notably, the Mumbaikar made his international debut against the West Indies in 2023.
Jaiswal was a member of India’s T20 World Cup 2024 winning squad but did not play in the marquee event due to the established opening partnership of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
