Gujarat Giants (GG) have announced their list of retained and released players ahead of the 2025 Women’s Premier League (WPL) mini-auction. The franchise has retained 14 players but also released six members from their squad as they look to improve after finishing last in the first two seasons.

The franchise has decided to keep skipper Beth Mooney, alongside key players like Ashleigh Gardner, Laura Wolvaardt, and Dayalan Hemalatha. With the core group intact, Gujarat Giants are focused on strengthening their lineup to be more competitive in the upcoming season. Other players retained include Harleen Deol, Shabnam Shakil, Tanuja Kanwer, and Meghna Singh, among others.

However, Gujarat Giants have released six players ahead of the auction. These include Sneh Rana, Kathryn Bryce, Trisha Poojitha, Veda Krishnamurthy, Tarannum Pathan, and Lea Tahuhu. This shake-up will allow the franchise to bring in fresh talent for the 2025 season.

With the WPL auction just around the corner, Gujarat Giants have INR 4.4 crore left in their purse, giving them the flexibility to make key signings and strengthen their squad for the season ahead.

Retained Players: Ashleigh Gardner, Beth Mooney, Dayalan Hemalatha, Harleen Deol, Laura Wolvaardt, Shabnam Shakil, Tanuja Kanwer, Phoebe Litchfield, Meghna Singh, Kashvee Gautam, Priya Mishra, Mannat Kashyap, Bharti Fulmali, Sayali Satghare.

Released Players: Sneh Rana, Kathryn Bryce, Trisha Poojitha, Veda Krishnamurthy, Tarannum Pathan, Lea Tahuhu.

Remaining Purse: INR 4.4 Crore.
