Legendary former South African fast bowler Dale Steyn has shared his thoughts on Gautam Gambhir’s appointment as the head coach of Team India.
Dale Steyn mentioned that Gautam Gambhir is one of the most aggressive players on the field and will bring out the best in the players while guiding them.
Dale Steyn further commented that while Gautam Gambhir is aggressive on the field, he is equally a gentleman off it. Here’s what he told Star Sports recently:
“I’m a big fan of Gautam Gambhir. I love his aggression, he’s one of the few Indians that kinda came back at you. We all became too friendly playing league, we need guys like Gautam who are aggressive, he’s a kind gentleman off the field.”
Notably, Gautam Gambhir left his mentor position at Kolkata Knight Riders to become the head coach of the Indian cricket team, a role he will hold until December 2027.
On the other hand, Gautam Gambhir has also brought Abhishek Nayar as the assistant coach of the Indian cricket team. Notably, they previously worked together for KKR in IPL 2024, leading the team to the title.
