The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) enjoy a massive fan following all over India, despite not having managed to win a single IPL title so far.
This was evident on Friday, March 29, when KKR beat RCB by seven wickets at their home ground, the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Following the defeat, one of the RCB fans was spotted crying profusely.

Speaking about the match, KKR won the toss and opted to bowl first. RCB, batting first, posted 182 runs for the loss of six wickets, with Virat Kohli hammering 83 runs from 59 balls, supported by four boundaries and as many maximums.
In reply, Kolkata Knight Riders got off to a sensational start with their openers Sunil Narine and Phil Salt. Venkatesh Iyer and Captain Shreyas Iyer then sealed the match in 16.5 overs, courtesy of aggressive batting from KKR.
Notably, this marked the first IPL 2024 match in which the home team lost. Prior to this, all matches played in this season were won by the home side. Additionally, RCB’s poor record of not having beaten KKR since 2016 remains intact.
