Stuart Broad, born in Nottingham, will have a pavilion named after him at Trent Bridge before the second Test between West Indies and England.
This honour follows his retirement, with a plaque unveiling ceremony planned for Day 1, where Stuart and his father, Chris Broad, a former England player with 59 matches, will be present.
“Ticket-holders for day one of the Trent Bridge Test are advised to take their seats by 10.40 am as we officially rename the Pavilion End of our venue in honour of Stuart Broad,” an official statement from Trent Bridge read.
The legendary fast bowler played 167 Test matches for England, in which he picked up 604 wickets – the fifth-highest tally in Test cricket history.
Stuart Broad retired from Test cricket in 2023 after the Ashes series, where he performed brilliantly. His best mate, James Anderson retired after the last Test against West Indies.
