Top 10: Most Centuries by a Captain in T20Is – CricIndeed

Rodney P

T20 is the fastest-moving format in international cricket, and as a skipper, one needs to be quick on the feet to make any sort of decision. However, their role in creating impact is not just limited to the decisions on the field but also the way they perform with the bat.

Scoring T20 hundreds is a difficult ask for a batter since the game time is limited, and even a top-order player may find it difficult. Hence, we see only the batters batting in the top 3 slots score more centuries than the players coming in the lower order.

As a specialist batter, a skipper is expected to contribute with the bat to the largest, either by scoring the bulk of the runs or smashing a quickfire game-changing cameo (in the case of a lower-order batter). Here we will see which batters have scored the most centuries while leading the side in T20Is.

3: Pakistan’s Babar Azam leads the pack with 3 tons as skipper in T20Is. All of his centuries in the format have come when he was leading the side.
