FairBreak Invitational 2022 : First Private Funded Cricket Tournament
The world’s greatest female cricketers will compete in, FairBreak Invitational 2022, the first privately-funded competition of its type, divided into six teams. At this creative 19-game series, UAE-based players like Chaya Mughal and Esha Oza will be breaking boundaries with Pakistan’s Sana Mir and New Zealand’s Suzie Bates.
FairBreak Invitational 2022 is the world’s first privately funded women’s cricket tournament, sanctioned by the ICC and scheduled for May 4-15 in Dubai in conjunction with Cricket Hong Kong. The six-team T20 competition features 90 players from 36 countries. 40 from ICC Full Members and 50 from ICC Associate Members.
Star players include England captain Heather Knight and her team-mate, the number one-ranked bowler in T20Is Sophie Ecclestone, Pakistan’s Sana Mir and Bismah Maroof, two members of Australia’s 50-over Women’s World Cup-winning squad, Grace Harris and Nicola Carey, as well as Suzie Bates and Sophie Devine from New Zealand, West Indies captain Stafanie Taylor and team-mate Deandra Dottin, South Africa’s Mignon Du Preez and Marizanne Kapp and many more will be participating in FairBreak Invitational 2022.

Equal opportunity and pay are core to FairBreak Invitational 2022 concept, and thus key elements of the tournament, which is the newest addition to an increasingly busy women’s calendar.

“FairBreak is all about giving women’s cricketers opportunities that they don’t have now but should have.” Women’s cricket is an economically viable product; all you need now is the drive.”
Before the return of The Hundred and an eighth WBBL, women’s cricket will make its debut at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham this summer.
