Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan rediscovered his touch in his debut game for Colombo Strikers during the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2024 season.
The leg-spinner clinched his first-ever T20 hat-trick, ending with impressive figures of 4 wickets for 22 runs against Kandy Falcons at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, July 2.
Following Wanindu Hasaranga, Shadab Khan became just the second bowler to achieve a hat-trick in the Lanka Premier League’s history.
Shadab Khan turned the tide against Kandy Falcons’ run-chase by claiming the prized wickets of Wanindu Hasaranga, Agha Salman, and Pawan Rathnayake consecutively in the 15th over.
Thanks to Shadab Khan’s exceptional performance, Kandy Falcons were bowled out for 147 within 15.5 overs. Shadab later shared a photo on Instagram, thanking the almighty for his regained form.
Shadab Khan was also awarded the Player of the Match in his debut appearance of the LPL 2024 season, guiding Colombo Strikers to a thumping 51-run victory.
