South Africa’s leading T20 cricket tournament, SA20, has named Dinesh Karthik as a League ambassador.
Launched two years ago, SA20 is now the second most popular and competitive T20 league in world cricket after the IPL.
All six teams in the SA20 are owned by IPL franchises. The last two seasons were won by Sunrisers Eastern Cape, captained by Aiden Markram.
Here’s what Dinesh Karthik said on this development:
“I’m thrilled to join the SA20 as an ambassador. The League has been electric in the first two seasons with some of the world’s best players on show and exciting young talent putting up their hands on the global stage. It’s a privilege to be associated with the SA20 and I look forward to working with Graeme Smith and his team.”
Dinesh Karthik will work closely with fellow SA20 ambassador AB de Villiers and the management team to expand the League’s global fan base.
