Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq accused the Indian team of serious ball tampering following their final Super 8 match in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Inzamam-ul-Haq claimed that the ball was manipulated and made to reverse swing during the 15th over of the innings, and which was bowled by fast bowler Arshdeep Singh.
“Arshdeep Singh was getting a reverse swing in the 15th over. The umpires should be attentive as the ball started reverse-swinging as early as 15th over which meant that it was being readied by the 12th-13th over,” Inzamam said on News 24 Pakistan during the review of India-Australia match.
“I am saying this because there might have been an uproar if it had been done by Pakistan. We know what reverse swing is. And if someone like Arshdeep is getting reverse swing in the 15th over, it means some serious work was done on the ball,” Inzamam continued.
Saleem Malik also chimed in, saying he was telling the former Pakistan captain to watch the close-in fielders carefully just in case they are doing work on the ball. Here Malik is indirectly accusing the Indian team of ball tampering.
Pakistan just can’t accept India’s victory. The same happened during the ODI World Cup 2023. Shamelessness on another level. pic.twitter.com/EjefLIXiVQ

Arshdeep Singh, who has been outstanding for India in the tournament, has already taken 15 wickets and is currently the second-highest wicket-taker. He will be looking to continue his rich vein of form in the semi-finals.
