Young all-rounder Riyan Parag received his debut India cap from his father, Parag Das, who once played first-class cricket for Assam.
The father and son shared a joyful hug, celebrating a dream realized as Riyan prepared to play in the first T20I against Zimbabwe.
With this, Riyan Parag has etched his name in history as the first player from the Northeast to represent the country.
Alongside Riyan Parag, two other promising talents, Dhruv Jurel and Abhishek Sharma, also made their debut for India in the first T20I against Zimbabwe on July 6th.
Shubman Gill, captaining the side, won the toss and opted to field first in the series opener.
