In response to media reports suggesting that Rishabh Pant might leave the Delhi Capitals (DC) before the IPL 2025 mega auction, sources have verified to news agency IANS that the wicketkeeper-batter will remain with the franchise.
Furthermore, the franchise itself dropped hints that their captain is not going anywhere and the team will retain him before the mega auction. Delhi Capitals posted a half picture of Rishabh Pant and asked the fans to answer them with hints.
In the comments section, fans speculated that the team is ending the rumours of them parting ways with Rishabh Pant. A couple of days ago, there were reports that Rishabh was unhappy with the team after they parted ways with Ricky Ponting as the duo shared a special bond.

The reports also suggested that Rishabh Pant might join Chennai Super Kings; however, all of it was mere speculation. IANS confirmed that Pant remains committed to DC and is expected to be retained alongside teammates Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav before the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Pant has been with the Delhi Capitals since 2016. During his time with DC, Pant has amassed 3,284 runs in 111 matches with an average of 35.31 and a strike rate of 148.93. His record includes one century and 18 fifties.
