Naseem Shah Fined for Misconduct in PSL 2024 | Source: X.com
Following Islamabad United‘s thrilling 3-wicket victory over Multan Sultans, Pakistan’s Naseem Shah has been fined 10% of his match fees for his outburst, which included kicking the stumps in frustration at the Rawalpindi stadium.
Naseem Shah’s bowling performance has been lacklustre in the eight league matches so far in PSL 2024. Although his economy rate hovers around 7, his failure to pick wickets is increasingly concerning.
Naseem Shah has taken 10 wickets in 8 matches for Islamabad, averaging slightly over 24. However, with the ICC T20 World Cup approaching in June in the USA and West Indies, Pakistan could encounter significant challenges if Naseem continues to struggle with form.
Pakistan definitely felt the void when he skipped the 50-over World Cup, but now all eyes are on him for the T20 World Cup this summer, set to take place in USA and West Indies.
