The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday, September 15 announced the squad for the upcoming 2022 T20 World Cup, set to be played next month in Australia.

Babar Azam (c), Shadab Khan (vc), Asif Ali, Haider Ali, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Wasim, Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shan Masood, Usman Qadir
Reserves: Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Haris, Shahnawaz Dahani

Babar Azam will continue leading the side, while Shadab Khan will be his deputy in chief. Pakistan’s fast bowling sensation Shaheen Shah Afridi makes his return to the side following a knee injury that kept him off Asia Cup 2022. Naseem Shah, who made his T20I debut for Pakistan in Asia Cup has also been added to the squad for the World Cup. Fakhar Zaman hasn’t been included in the World Cup squad. However, he has been put into the Standby list.
