Punjab Kings (PBKS) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by five wickets in their first match of the season in the Premier League 2022. The high scoring match between PBKS vs RCB was a delight to the cricket fans.
Mayank Agarwal, the captain of Punjab Kings, is pleased after his team’s five-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Match 3 of the Indian Premier League 2022, which was contested at the DY Patil Stadium on Sunday.
Punjab easily chased down a difficult mark of 206, scoring 208/5 in 19 overs for a five-wicket victory.
“Two points are extremely important to us. Both teams scored over 200 points on this wicket. Apart than that, just a couple of balls held up. We should be proud of how we concluded “In the post-match presentation, Punjab captain Agarwal said.
All Punjab bowlers went for plenty, with the exception of Rahul Chahar and Arshdeep Singh, as RCB reached 205/2 in 20 overs.
“We took the proper risks, and I’m delighted it worked out. We probably gave them another 15-20 (runs) “Agarwal stated.
Punjab set a large goal with Faf du Plessis’ 88-run knock off 57 balls and Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 41 off 29 balls, but the Agarwal-led side knocked it down in 19 overs.
“The game was taken away from us by Virat and Faf, but credit to our hitters for chasing it down. We have faith in our abilities. If it doesn’t come off, it won’t come off, but we won’t be alarmed “Agarwal stated.
Odean Smith was named ‘Player of the Match’ for his undefeated 25 off eight balls.
This is the first win of the season for PBKS vs RCB this year.
