Mohammad Rizwan made history during the second T20I against New Zealand at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday, becoming the fastest player to reach 3,000 runs in T20I cricket, surpassing records held by Virat Kohli and Babar Azam.
Rizwan reached the 3,000-run mark in his 79th T20I innings, setting a new record as the fastest player to do so, ahead of both Kohli and Babar who reached it in 81 innings each.
Notably, the Pakistan wicket-keeper batter has become only the second Pakistan cricketer to surpass 3,000 runs in T20I cricket, with Babar (3,712 runs) being the only Pakistan with more runs than Rizwan.
