Team India prepares for their first 8 of the T20 World Cup 2024 match against Afghanistan on Thursday, June 20, with all eyes once again on Virat Kohli, the Chase Master.
Virat Kohli, celebrated as one of T20’s legends, has fallen short of his usual standards, scoring a mere five runs in three group stage outings.

However, former Indian cricketer and World Cup champion Kris Srikanth recently is confident that Virat Kohli will bounce back stronger in the super 8s for India.
Here’s what Kris Srikkanth told Star Sports:

“Virat is the King of Kings. King of Kings, Kohli. He knows how to adjust himself. I can imagine you’re thinking, ‘Come on, you’re going to play in Barbados. The wicket is going to be much better in Barbados.’ In the first match, I think England-Australia played better, and I believe Australia scored 200 runs on that pitch.”

“So, in my opinion, Barbados is going to have a good wicket. Therefore, I don’t think we should worry about it. What has happened, has happened. Tomorrow, we’re playing against Afghanistan. I don’t think we should worry either. I believe there’s a player who can adjust beautifully. He will score runs and win matches for India. Guys, just leave him alone. That’s it. Just leave him alone.”

India is set to play this match in Barbados, renowned for its batting-friendly conditions and recent history of high-scoring matches. With India’s formidable batting lineup and Afghanistan’s potent bowling attack, an exciting encounter is expected.
