Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul handed massive fine after being found guilty of breaching the IPL’s Code of Conduct. This is the second time the KL Rahul handed massive fine for an over-rate offense apart from one other fine as well in IPL 2022.

KL Rahul, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants, has been fined Rs 24 lakhs for keeping the slow-over pace in the IPL 2022 match against Mumbai Indians on Sunday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Along with Rahul, the rest of the playing eleven have been fined either INR 6 lakhs or 25% of their match money, whichever is lesser.

KL Rahul, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants, was fined 20% of his match money for violating the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Mr Rahul accepted the sentence after admitting to a Level 1 violation of the IPL Code of Conduct.

Marcus Stoinis of the Lucknow Super Giants has also been penalised by the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) for violating the Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Mr Stoinis accepted the sentence after admitting to a Level 1 violation of the IPL Code of Conduct. The Match Referee’s judgement is decisive and binding for Level 1 Code of Conduct violations.

In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Rahul scored his second century of the season to lead Lucknow Super Giants to a 36-run victory on Sunday, extending the Mumbai Indians’ losing record to eight games.

Lucknow scored 168/6 in 20 overs, thanks to Rahul’s 103 not out, before restricting Mumbai to 132/8. With 10 points, Lucknow is tied with Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, and Royal Challengers Bangalore for second place in the league, two points behind Gujarat. Mumbai have lost their first eight games, the greatest losing streak in IPL history.

After Mumbai won the toss, Lucknow lost Quinton de Kock (10) early, but Rahul, who earlier made 103 not out against Mumbai on April 16, stroked his way to a half-century off 37 balls. With Manish Pandey, he scored 58 runs (22).

KL Rahul handed massive fine once again in the ongoing IPL and this could lead to serious repurcussions for both the team and the player.
