Instead, MI spent Rs 8 crore on the Jofra Archer, which was previously unavailable. Boult was purchased for the same price by the Rajasthan Royals, and the left-arm bowler has not disappointed, taking seven wickets in four games at an average of 16.57.

It’s also unclear if Ishan Kishan was worth the Rs 15.25 crore spent on him when Quinton de Kock, who had previously performed well for them, may have been a cheaper choice.
In Boult’s absence, Bumrah has taken up the entire pace department’s workload. Daniel Sams, Tymal Mills, Basil Thampi, and Jaydev Unadkat, all of his pace teammates, have become cannon fodder on the field.
