The Pakistan Champions outclassed their Indian counterparts by a massive 68 runs in a high-scoring encounter at Edgbaston, Birmingham in the 8th match of the World Championship of Legends 2024.
Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, India Champions captain Harbhajan Singh might have regretted his decision later.

Pakistan openers Kamran Akmal (77 off 40) and Sharjeel Khan (72 off 30) unleashed mayhem on the Indian bowling attack, stitching together a mammoth 145-run partnership for the first wicket in just 65 balls. Their aggressive batting set the tone for a dominant Pakistan innings.
Sohaib Maqsood (51) and the evergreen Shoaib Malik (25* off 18) continued the onslaught after the openers departed. They ensured Pakistan reached a daunting total of 243 runs for the loss of just four wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Huge Score Put India on Defensive
Chasing a stiff target, the India Champions never really got going. Only Suresh Raina (52 off 40) showed some fight with a fluent half-century, but the rest of the batting order crumbled under pressure.
The Indian Champions’ innings folded for a disappointing 175 runs. Shoaib Malik starred with the ball as well, claiming three wickets for Pakistan. Wahab Riaz ably supported him with another three-wicket haul.
