The incident took place while Kamran Akmal was analyzing the final over of Pakistan’s chase on a Pakistani news channel. With 18 runs needed from the last six balls, the commentators speculated on Arshdeep’s ability to defend the runs.
It was during this discussion that Kamran Akmal made his controversial statement. Upon noticing this, Harbhajan Singh, a highly respected figure in Indian cricket, condemned Kamran’s remarks and racist comments on social media.
