The 13th game between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Visakhapatnam on Sunday, March 31, witnessed plenty of intense action.
Rishabh Pant‘s stellar half-century, coupled with the standout performance of the 42-year-old former Chennai Super Kings skipper, MS Dhoni, left fans captivated by the action.
Pant’s performance echoed shades of MS Dhoni, particularly evident when he executed a helicopter shot for six during his initial half-century. Later, while keeping, he even attempted a no-look run-out, reminiscent of Dhoni’s earlier days.
It all happened when Mukesh Kumar threw the ball towards the non-striker’s end while Ajinkya Rahane was on the brink of completing a double. If Rahane hadn’t made that desperate dive, he would have been out, as Pant skillfully broke the stumps without even looking at the ball.
