KL Rahul Urges Fans to Cheer for LSG instead for Him | Source: X.com
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) registered a thumping 21-run win over Punjab Kings at their inaugural home game at Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.
In a touching moment captured on social media during the match, KL Rahul, the regular captain of LSG, who was playing as an ‘impact player’ in the game, humbly requested fans not to chant his name but to support the entire LSG team.
Fans were cheering for Kl Rahul and then Rahul told them by showing the LSG sign on the jersey that to cheer for the team not for him. True Gentleman of the game ???? pic.twitter.com/paG2oFFrvF— JAYESH (@Jayesh_klr) April 1, 2024
KL Rahul exhibited his batting prowess against Punjab Kings with a blistering 15 runs off nine balls with one boundary and a six. However, what stood out was his intent to attack the bowler, a mindset echoed by everyone on the field.
Lucknow Super Giants will next face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Tuesday, April 9th at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, which is also the home ground of KL Rahul, who represents Karnataka in domestic cricket.
