During the match, a lookalike of the Punjab Kings’ stand-in captain, Sam Curran, was spotted in the Punjab Kings jersey, cheering for Rohit Sharma in the stands.
The video of this moment is going viral on social media, showing a lookalike of Sam Curran chanting “Mumbai cha Raja,’ to which the audience replies ‘Rohit Sharma’. It’s a very wholesome video.
Actually, the fan in the video is Jake Jeakings, a super fan of the Australian cricket team, who has been spotted in India frequently. He was in India throughout the World Cup 2023 and appears to be back again to enjoy IPL 2024.
Many will be deceived when they see Jake for the first time, as he looks very much like Sam Curran. Mumbai Indians will play their next game against Rajasthan Royals on 22nd April at Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
