The highly anticipated match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is underway at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, marking the 10th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season.
Kolkata Knight Riders’ captain, Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to bowl first. During the announcement of the playing 11, he stated that Nitish Rana would not be playing in this match, sparking questions among fans regarding his absence.
Why Nitish Rana Isn’t Playing Against RCB?
For that unfamiliar, Nitish Rana is injured and recovering on the sidelines, hence his absence from the match against RCB on Friday. Additionally, RCB is fielding the same 11 players as they did against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last match.
Notably, RCB has failed to beat Kolkata Knight Riders at their home, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, since 2016, and once again, they will be under huge pressure as KKR returns to face them, this time with Gautam Gambhir as their mentor.
