The Wankhede crowd vocally expressed discontent, directed at Pandya, following MI’s decision to remove Rohit Sharma from captaincy responsibilities.
In a display of true sportsmanship, Kohli took a stand against the crowd’s boos directed at Hardik Pandya, instead urging them to cheer for him.
Later, the star all-rounder hushed the booing spectators with a blistering unbeaten knock of 21 runs off just 6 balls, propelling Mumbai Indians to a successful run-chase.
