Former RCB captain, Virat Kohli, narrowly escaped dismissal on the first ball during the 148-run chase against Gujarat Titans in the recent IPL 2024 match on Saturday, May 4 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.
Mohit Sharma bowled over the wicket, sending a full-length delivery just outside the off-stump. Kohli nudged it to extra cover and went for a single, but Miller’s agile dive stopped the run.
David Miller’s throw towards the keeper’s end missed, otherwise, Kohli would have been dismissed as his bat got stuck while running. Anushka Sharma, who was watching the match, had a reaction to this incident, which is now trending on social media platforms.
Virat Kohli scored 42 runs off 24 balls, forming a record-breaking 92-run partnership with Faf du Plessis. This powerplay score of 92 without losing a wicket is also the highest in RCB’s IPL history.
