India Registers Highest-Ever Team Total in Women’s Test Cricket History • ProBatsman

The India Women’s team, under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur, has been in outstanding form recently.After sweeping the Proteas in the three-match ODI series, the teams faced off in a one-off Test match at the historic MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Batting first in the Only Test, the Indian team set a world record of putting the highest ever total in Women’s Test Cricket history. Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana opened the innings.

Shafali Verma scored her maiden international century and went on to convert it to her double century (205), while Mandhana scored another century (149). India declared at 603/6, the highest team total in women’s Test cricket history.

Australia previously held the record with a total of 575/9d against South Africa in 2024. Additionally, they occupy third place on the list with a score of 569/9d against England in 1998.
