The England cricket team suffered a big blow on Sunday as spinner Jack Leach was ruled out of the remaining three Tests against India.
Leach missed the second Test at Vizag due to an injury after playing a key role in England’s win over India in the series opener in Hyderabad.
Debutant Shoaib Bashir replaced him in the second Test, who failed to make any significant impact with the ball as the visitors lost the match by 106 runs.
With Leach ruled out, England now have three spin options left in Rehan Ahmed, Tom Hartley and Shoaib Bashir in the remaining three Tests against India.
The England Cricket Board has also confirmed that they will not be naming a replacement for Leach, and will be relying on the available spinners for the rest of the tour.
