David Warner apologised to Indian fans for breaking their hearts after Australia beat India by six wickets in the final of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 on Sunday, November 19, at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

To this, the Southpaw replied:
“I apologise, it was such a great game and the atmosphere was incredible. India really put on a serious event. Thank you all.”
Although David Warner couldn’t shine in the final against India, his remarkable performance as Australia’s top run-scorer with 535 runs in 11 matches played a huge role in their triumphant journey in the 2023 World Cup.
