Lucknow Super Giants beat Chennai Super Kings by six wickets in the 39th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
LSG scripted history as they became the team to chase down the highest-ever total – 211 in the history of the IPL against CSK at Chepauk. Before this, the record belonged to Punjab Kings.
Marcus Stoinis was the architect of the run chase for Lucknow Super Giants, smashing an unbeaten 124 runs from just 63 balls with the help of 13 boundaries and six maximums.

This was the maiden IPL century for Marcus Stoinis, who made his debut in 2016 for Kings XI Punjab and then went on to play for Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru before being picked by Lucknow Super Giants. Since 2022, he has been a backbone of LSG.
