“It means a lot. Very emotional, we’d been working hard and something wasn’t clicking. But today, we achieved what the nation desired. It’s especially meaningful given my last six months; it hasn’t been easy. I didn’t say a word; life has been unfair. I knew if I kept working hard, I could shine and do what I do. Opportunities like this make it special. We always believed in executing our plans, staying calm, and letting the pressure come to us.”
“I believe in grace. Much has been said by people who don’t really know me. People talk; it’s okay. In life, I’ve always believed actions speak louder than words,” he added in a chat with the broadcaster.
“It’s time for fans and everyone else to learn grace. We must find better ways to conduct ourselves. I’m sure those same people will now be happy,” he continued.
“To be honest, I was enjoying myself. Such life-changing opportunities are rare. Things could have gone differently today, but I see the glass as half full, not half empty.
“I didn’t feel pressure; I focused on my skills. This moment was destined,” he concluded when asked about the high-pressure scenario.
