Rohit Sharma set an unwelcome record for the most ducks in IPL, as his poor form continued in the current edition of the IPL. He was dismissed for a duck in the first over of the match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Thursday.

Mukesh Choudhary of CSK removed the Mumbai Indians captain in the first over of the encounter at the D.Y Patil Stadium here. He failed to get his team off to a strong start by throwing a straightforward catch to Mitchell Santner at mid-on off Mukesh Chaudhary.

Chennai Super Kings were able to restrict Mumbai Indians to 155/7 because to pacer Mukesh Choudhary’s outstanding bowling performance (3/19). Apart with Choudhary, CSK’s wicket-takers were Dwayne Bravo (2/36), Mitchell Santner (1/16), and Maheesh Theekshana (1/35).

He has played for four different teams in the league and has previously captained the Rajasthan Royals. In the super auction of 2022, he was purchased by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Parthiv Patel, a wicketkeeper-batsman who just announced his retirement, was a member of the RCB side in recent years. He has a strike rate of 120.78 and has scored 2848 runs at an average of 22.60.

Following these six players, there are four more players in the next set, all of whom have collected 12 ducks in the competition. Gautam Gambhir, Mandeep Singh, Manish Pandey, and Dinesh Karthik are the cricketers in question. Gautam Gambhir, the former KKR captain, had a hat-trick of ducks in the IPL in 2014. In the IPL, he scored 4217 runs at a strike rate of 123.88 and an average of 31.00. KKR won the trophy in both the 2012 and 2014 seasons while he was captain.
