Who won the T20 World Cup most number of times?
West Indies are the first team to win the T20 World Cup two times in tournament history. The Caribbean team claimed the championships in 2012 and 2016.
The other teams to win T20 World Cup are India, Pakistan, England, Sri Lanka, and Australia. All these teams have won once.

Sri Lanka has reached the finals thrice in the tournament, whereas India, Pakistan, West Indies, England, & Australia twice. New Zealand in 2021 has entered the grand finale for the first time.

Virat Kohli is the only player to win the Man of the Series award twice in the history of the T20 World Cup in two consecutive seasons in 2014 and 2016.
