Rohit Sharma has been a lucky charm for the Men in Blue as India had won all 7 matches when he made centuries.

His 4th and 5th centuries came in the same game as he made twin centuries in a Vishakhapatnam Test against South Africa. With that effort, he became only the 2nd Indian opener to score a twin hundred in a Test match. Sunil Gavaskar has done this thrice in his career. Overall, Rohit is the 6th Indian to achieve the feat.

The Vizag Test was the first time he batted as an opener in the longest format. The three centuries before that Test came while batting as No.6 and the rest of his centuries while opening.

Opponent-wise, he scored the most against South Africa – 3. West Indies – 2, England – 2, and Sri Lanka – 1.

The three centuries against the Proteas nation came in 2019, which is so far his best year in Tests with three hundred knocks.
