Meanwhile, to address potential rain threats and delays, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has introduced a special 250-minute rule to ensure the match concludes on the same day.
Why No Reserve Day for the India vs England Semi-Final?
With the final scheduled for the morning of June 29th, the ICC wanted to avoid a situation where the semi-final winner has to play the final the next day. This tight schedule wouldn’t provide enough rest and travel time, so they decided not to have a reserve day.

This time can be used to make adjustments and maximize the chances of completing the game as scheduled. Note that this rule applies only to the semi-finals, while the final on June 29th has a reserve day on June 30th.

If India vs England’s match is completely washed out despite the extra time, India will advance to the final against South Africa because they finished at the top of their Super Eights group with an unbeaten record.
