The highly anticipated England tour of Pakistan has been confirmed, with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unveiling the three-match Test series schedule.
The Three Lions will be aiming for a repeat of their one-sided 3-0 victory in Pakistan during their last visit in December 2022. This series is very important for England, currently languishing at the bottom of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) standings.
The three Tests will be played across three Pakistan cities:
• 1st Test: Multan (October 7-11)• 2nd Test: Karachi (October 15-19)• 3rd Test: Rawalpindi (October 24-28)
This series is part of the ongoing WTC 2023-25 cycle. England desperately needs wins to improve their position, having only managed three wins in ten games so far. They have a chance to climb the table with three home Tests against the West Indies and Sri Lanka scheduled before the Pakistan tour.
Pakistan’s WTC Standing and Upcoming Series
Pakistan, currently positioned at No. 5 in the WTC table, will be looking to build on their two wins from five matches. Their next assignment is a two-Test home series against Bangladesh, a series they are expected to win convincingly.
