Delhi Capitals have released wicketkeeper-batter Sarfaraz Khan and Manish Pandey ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction.
Sarfaraz Khan turned out to be a huge disappointment for Delhi Capitals; even with plenty of opportunities in the 2023 season, he couldn’t deliver with the bat.
On the other hand, Delhi Capitals’ gamble on Manish Pandey in 2023 didn’t pay off, as he could only muster 160 runs from nine innings with a less-than-impressive strike rate of 109.
Previously, Delhi Capitals also let go of Prithvi Shaw, boosting their overall budget for the IPL 2024 auction. This gives them a chance to rebuild their squad with more promising talents.
The ongoing trade window permits all 10 franchises to engage in team trades, whether involving money or player exchanges. The deadline for player retention is fixed for November 26.
The players auction for the 2024 season of Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to be held in Dubai on December 19. It will also be the first time that an IPL auction will be held outside India.
