Babar Azam, the former captain of Pakistan, has allegedly taken legal steps against the journalist who leaked his private WhatsApp conversation with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Salman Naseer during the World Cup 2023.
Earlier, the former Pakistan cricketer Rashid Latif claimed that Zaka Ashraf was avoiding calls and messages from Babar Azam. In an attempt to unveil the reality, the PCB chief leaked Babar’s private WhatsApp conversation with Salman Naseer, on national television. In the chat, Babar allegedly wrote that he never tried calling Ashraf.
Even though the journalist said sorry for putting the entire WhatsApp conversation on live TV, Babar Azam isn’t letting it slide. According to a report of Geo News, the former Pakistan captain lodged a complaint against the journalist.
Things haven’t been easy for Babar Azam lately. He recently relinquished the captaincy in all formats for Pakistan due to their disappointing showing in the 2023 World Cup, where they only clinched four wins out of nine matches.
