India batter Abhishek Sharma hit the third fastest hundred for India in T20Is on Sunday (July 7), taking just 46 balls to reach the milestone, a record also held by KL Rahul. He achieved it in the second T20I of the ongoing series against Zimbabwe. 
Having scored a four-ball duck in the first T20I, the batter turned things around with an impressive display, hitting seven fours and eight sixes. He was dismissed on the ball following his hundred. 

The fastest hundred for India in T20Is is held by Rohit Sharma, who scored a century in 35 balls against Sri Lanka in 2017. Suryakumar Yadav comes next with a century in 45 balls against the same team in 2023.
